Turnkey Renovation in Marbella: How We Transformed a Property and Increased Its Value
This summer, we completed a project I truly enjoyed from the very beginning. As an interior designer, a full renovation with a turnkey service is one of the most rewarding types of work , you’re involved in every detail, from the layout to the final styling. It’s a challenge, yes, but that’s exactly what makes it exciting.
This particular project was also an investment: a two-bedroom apartment located in one of the most sought-after areas of Marbella. Although it had solid foundations and quality materials, it felt outdated. Built in the early 2000s, both the aesthetics and the layout needed a serious refresh. Today’s lifestyle calls for open, fluid spaces where people can share time, like cooking while chatting over a glass of wine.
From the very start, I was guided by a clear concept: quiet luxury. A term used in both fashion and interior design to describe that subtle elegance you can feel in a space , quality materials, perfect finishes, and a timeless atmosphere that doesn’t shout, but whispers sophistication.
Our goal was simple: increase the value of the property and create a refined, timeless interior. We reworked the layout entirely to open up the spaces and maximise natural light. We replaced the flooring, windows, kitchen and bathrooms. The bathrooms were completely redesigned to optimise space while creating a warm, inviting feel through lighting and material selection.
Italian porcelain floors, microcement finishes in the bathrooms, a sculptural grey stone island in the kitchen, recessed ceilings with indirect lighting, these are the kind of details that elevate a space and make it feel unique.
The furnishing and decoration followed the same principle. Most of the pieces were custom-designed by our studio. A stunning travertine silver dining table, a bespoke linen-upholstered sofa, wool rugs for softness, and subtle golden touches through minimalist design pieces create a calm yet elevated ambience.
In the bedrooms, we redesigned the wardrobes using dark wood and natural banana leaf raffia, contrasted with brass and marble details — elements always associated with luxury. The harmony across the entire apartment is what truly makes the space feel balanced and distinguished.
This transformation not only gave the apartment a new life, but significantly increased its market value, turning it into a solid and characterful investment.
